This jewelry word reminds me of the song “Mujhe Nau Lakha Mangwa De Re Oo Saiyaan Deewane”. 

It consists of decorative items worn for personal adornments such as brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets and cufflinks. 

  • The earliest known evidence of jewellery was found to be used by the neanderthal living in Europe.
  • It is one of the oldest types of archaeological artefact. 
  • Hand-made Jewellery became a significant craft in the cities of Mesopotamia around 5000 years ago.

  • In 1600 BC, Greece started using gold and gems in jewellery.
  • Although, In Greece beads shaped as shells and animals were produced widely in earlier times.
  • India has a long history of jewellery heritage, which went through several changes caused by cultural influence and political influence over the last 5,500–8,000 years. Since India had an abundance of precious metals and gems, it prospered financially through exports and exchanges with other nations.

After a lot of history trivia what is the actual difference?

The answer is their is no such difference as both spellings are correct. Jewelry is how the people in the USA and Canada spell it, whereas Jewellery is how people in the UK and most of the rest of the English speaking speaking world spell it.
